Whistle Huron 1161D Gents 30 Speed Mountain Bike
Frame: Carbon and Aramid monocoque custom design with semi Integrated head tube and detachable rear gear hanger. Disc brake mounts.
Fork: Rock Shox Recon TK Suspension fork with handlebar mounted remote lock out and 100mm travel.
Wheels: 26" Mavic Crossride disc rims. Quick release disc hubs. Schwalbe Nobby Nic Evolution 26" x 2.10" black. Gear System: Shimano XT 30 speed with Shimano SLX shifters and a Shimano 11/34 tooth 10 speed cassette.
Chainset: FSA V Drive triple chainset with alloy cranks. Brakes: Shimano SLX hydraulic disc brakes with Shimano alloy levers. Handlebar and Stem: Byte Kyte alloy oversize a-head stem with Byte Kyte alloy oversize riser. Accessories: Kyte Whistle saddle, Byte Kyte micro adjust alloy seat post.

The Whistle Huron 1161D is built around the 3D CAD designed carbon and Aramid monocoque frame. After the initial design the framesets undergo rapid prototyping to verify critical points. After this Whistle builds the dies for construction of the individual tubes. The tubes are then bound together with several layers of pre impregnated Kevlar sheaths depending on stress and torsion at different areas of the frame. Whistle can fine tune a frame characteristics by varying tube thickness with additional Kevlar layers. The rear dropouts are in composite material and are inserted in the chain stay with the same technique as the tube binding, thereby creating a homogeneous body with the entire structure. Up front is the Rock Shox Recon TK suspension fork, with 100mm of travel to take the edge of the trail, the handle bar mounted lock out makes life easier on the climbs.
